The consulate holds territorial competence exclusively for the Lombardy region, Italy's most populous region with approximately 10 million residents including the largest concentration (22.1%) of Morocco's Italian diaspora. This jurisdiction encompasses Milan and its metropolitan area, along with the region's other provinces: Bergamo, Brescia, Como, Cremona, Lecco, Lodi, Mantua, Monza and Brianza, Pavia, Sondrio, and Varese. Moroccan citizens residing in other northern Italian regions should contact the appropriate consulate: Turin for Piedmont, Liguria, and Valle d'Aosta; Verona for Veneto, Trentino-Alto Adige, and Friuli Venezia Giulia. For Emilia-Romagna (hosting 14% of Morocco's Italian community) and other central-southern regions, consular services are provided by the Embassy in Rome.
